 GOLF TIP OF THE WEEK

The Basic Golf Stance is a golf fundamental that all golfers need to get right!

If the stance is correct you can make an orthodox golf swing that is in balance, has power, control, and consistency and is able to be produced without undue stress on the body or mind.

You need to know how far to stand away from the ball and if your alignment to the ball's target is correct. Is the posture bend too much or not enough? All these doubts are removed when you apply the CGS "Address Routine."

In short time you have a "no brainer" set up that will allow you to swing the golf club with "effortless power - not powerless effort"

Enjoy this "Gift of Golf"

TEST #6

1. Should the rear shoulder be lower than the front shoulder at address - Yes or No?

2. Do you bend from a) the waist or b) the hips?

3. Shoud the elbows point down at the respective hips - Yes or No?

ANSWERS #5

1. What is alignment #3? Club shaft to the centre of the hips at address

2. Why is Alignment #3 important? It helps the hip and shoulder turn move in cinque with the hands from the start of the backswing.

3. How do we build Alignment #3 into our own golf swing easily? Use the address routine as layed out in the CGS Stance building on the Step by Step Video Downloads and CGS DVDs

This golf tip is taken from our STEP BY STEP ONLINE LESSON PROGRAM which I would recommend for all who wish to learn the complete updated Croker Golf System.

SUCCESS STORY from Step by Step Online Program

Hi Peter

After making a couple of posts on your forum and seeing clips from the Step By Step program in your replies, I decided to go ahead and treat myself to a Christmas present!! Watched the grip and stance videos last night. The level of detail is awesome!! Just watched the 7 (yes, seven!) videos on the impact zone. I thought I was reasonably clued up on CGS until I saw this - boy did I have some misconceptions! The questions I posted on the forum have already been answered and I'm thrilled by the clarity of explanation.

This'll make the wet Welsh winter a lot more fun (apart from beating Australia at rugby union of course!).

Have a great Christmas!

John

SUCCESS STORY

TOM O'CONNOR - Peninsula and District Schoolboys Champion, 2008

Dunes Golf Links Junior, Tom O'Connor had a strong win in the Peninsula & District Schoolboys Champinship with a round of 76 (39, 37) at Mornington Golf Club on Friday December 19. He credits his short game and straight driving for his solid win in strong winds and fast greens. Tom shows a great passion for the game and his dedication to consistent practice is bringing him the rewards he deserves.

TERRY MOLONEY

Hi.I am 22 handicapper that has just been getting worse.I have come down from 29 but was getting to the point that i was not enjoying it.I play at Royal Canberra.I knew that the only way I could improve was to get back to Basics.I am in IT and I had a period of time off which i was spending at my holiday house in Blairgowrie.i love the dunes so I thought I would contact the pro there.Peter said "Are you after a quick fix?"I said I wanted to do whatever was necessay to play good consistent golf. I would have good and bad nines so I felt I could play.i booked for the ten lesson program that I have just completedI have yet to find out how much i have improved, but any early round saw me shoot 4 under my handicap with 2 four putt greens(prior to my putting lesson!)

On the driving range my slice has gone and I now feel that I know what I can do with each club.I have a process to follow.Peter is an excellent coach, patient, explains in simple terms, and my major learning let the club fall naturally and let it do the work.I have always marvelled at how easy the pros make it look,I think I now know how they did it!

The Step by Step program is my new guide to building my swing from here on and when I go home I now feel confident that help is only a "click" away on the Internet.

This will enable me to keep in touch with the Croker Golf System and i only hope to find a Croker Golf  Instructor in my area in the near future. This Program is certainly a great support to both handicap golfers like myself but also for the Serious Golf Instructors out there.

Thanks Petter!
