SPECIAL VIP GUEST to THE DUNES

SHIHO OYAMA getting "HANDS-ON" coaching from Peter Croker
Shiho Oyama, 2006 Leading Money Winner on the Japan LPGA TOUR, is now qualified to play the USA LPGA TOUR in 2009. Shiho is visiting the Mornington Peninsula to work with Ramsay McMaster and Scott Williams at Ocean Fitness, Sorrento on repairing "golfers elbow" and to build better fitness and strength specific to golf.
Shiho and her assistant, Dean Herden, have appreciated their time on The Mornington Peninsula so much that they have decided to stay an extra week training under Ramsay and Scott and take up an opportunity to fine tune the short game, especially chipping, pitching, and the short putts with the assistance of the Croker Golf System.
It has been a great pleasure and honour to coach the short game to such a quality and humble champion. Her work ethic and enthusiasm to train in all areas is a great model to follow for all Junior Golfers - girls and boys -wanting to make it onto the PGA Tours of the world.
This golf tip is taken from our STEP BY STEP ONLINE LESSON PROGRAM which I would recommend for all who wish to learn the complete updated Croker Golf System.
Golf as a Two Target Game

When you arrive in the zone and you are above thinking, you will just look, know and hit that ball, and the ball will go to its intended target, without effort, and with little attention on any one aspect of the total action. However, in the learning process, and before you arrive at this “Freddy Couples level,” [i] it is of great value to break golf down into several targets.
The ball definitely needs a target, as the aim of the game is to take the least number of shots in reaching the balls target – the hole. Therefore, the ball’s target is important, and it is through the address routine that we align the clubface and body to the ball’s target – the hole.
Now for the main event, we want you to enjoy the hit. By aiming the clubhead at the golf ball, we are taking into account that the clubhead is targeting the golf ball. This would mean that we have, as a minimum, two targets[ii] – the clubhead’s target is the golf ball, and the golf ball’s target is the hole (fairway, green, etc.)
By treating golf as a two-target game, one at a time, you can be much more focused on hitting a solid shot. Once you have taken care of the ball’s target through the address routine, and are comfortably there, you can change your focus to clubhead / ball – a totally different orientation. The clubhead’s direction is down, out, and through the ball, while the ball’s direction is up, and straight forward to the hole. This allows you to be more focused on enjoying the hit.
[i] “Freddy Couples Level”– Fred has been quoted that when playing his best, he doesn’t even aim.
[ii] You could have an intermediate target such as a spot along the intended line of the shot.
SPECIAL MESSAGES for the NEW YEAR
To continue on with this attitude building for on and off the golf course please ponder on the following:
1. It is much better to plan and work on your "Set-Up" and this lessens your chance to get "Upset."
2. To bring control to your golf swing and game and much more you need to know how to start, change, and stop your actions.
3. Being in the "NOW" is the only place to play your best golf. Building a quality "rhythm" is an entrance point.

John Pritch has been a serious student of the Croker Golf System for some time and like most of us who follow the steps as delivered in the Hit Book and the several DVDs and more, it is with some confidence that we should progress thinking that we know enough to play this game of a lifetime. Knowing that there is something more to know is a great realization to have as we open the door to greater and simplier understandings - even in golf!
John's success has come about as mentioned in his Forum posting. LINK
